Protecting Pets From Home Fires
The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC), The American Kennel Club (AKC) and ADT Security Services are teaming up in a proactive effort to help save the estimated 500,000 pets affected in home fires each year. With an ADT fire monitoring system in a home, activated smoke and heat detectors alert trained professionals working 24/7 in one of seven interconnected monitoring centers across North America. They promptly contact a nearby fire department to report the alarm.
One of the hallmarks of responsible dog ownership is keeping pets safe and planning for unexpected emergencies. This year we are pleased to distribute ADT pet alert ‘window clings’.

You can also go the Humane Society and numerous other locations for stickers. But whatever you do, get one and save your pets from fire!

I just have to share this. Over my lifelong learning quest, so many people, friends, teachers and lessons came to me through the wonderful publication The Monthly Aspectarian. At one time I had to hunt down this publication at the New Age book stores across town each month. But, today, I can pick up a copy at my local Whole Foods.
