Easter Bunny Funny

A lady opened her refrigerator and saw a rabbit sitting on one of the shelves.
"What are you doing in there?"
she asked.
The rabbit replied:
"This is a Westinghouse, isn't it?", to which the lady replied
"Yes."
"Well," the rabbit said,
"I'm westing."
Sorry... I couldn't stop myself.
I hope you had a Wonderful Easter...

Kobe The Mini Shihtzu

The Easter Bunny came early this year with Kobe the mini shihtzu. What a sweet boy he is! This tiny 6 lb boy is full of tail wagging love. His special family adopted him from a rescue and what a lucky dog he is! They are taking a short trip to the warmth of the Bahamas. Meanwhile, he gets to stay with me and the gang, including Maggie, the shihtzu. The two have become good friends and find life is better with a buddy!

Trigger

Hard to imagine that Trigger was one sick girl just a week or so ago. She managed to find some mouse poison and decided to eat it like an appetizer. The good news is that her family figured it out immediately and Trigger met with the vets who pumped her tummy and then kept her for a few days at the huge animal hospital in Buffalo Grove. Just like human patients she was on watch when she came home so she stayed with me for a couple of days. Hard to imagine she was so sick while looking at these photos. But she not only swallowed a poison but one with no antidote!
She seems to be better but is still under the vet's care! We are wishing you a total, speedy recovery!!!
Boo Kitty

I had the pleasure of visiting with Boo the cat for a week this month while his parents went out of town. Always at the door to greet me, Boo is not shy. He is a real people kitty who enjoys his humans. His new toy did not seem to make him too excited, although he did like to use the center section to scratch on. So, I suppose it is not a total loss! Instead Boo much rather play with his feather toys, or better yet, get a good brushing really makes him happy. It was nice to see you again, Boo! Hope to see you soon!

Doc Martin The Therapy Dog by Pam Cofre

I had to share this wonderful painting by a wonderful artist, Pam Cofre. Pam lives nearby in Skokie. She is incrediblely talented and specializes in portraits of all kinds. I was quite taken with one of her newest ones of Doc Martin, the therapy dog. This is what Pam had to say about Doc.
Doc is a “Rainbow Therapy dog”. He works with Special Ed , and sick kids. He visits Special Ed schools, Shriners Hospital, and other hospitals … and just loves the attention! His human is about 65 or so, nice lady. She drives him around so he can help others feel better.
When he came to my studio to pose, my 3 kids all had to be around him, petting him, in order to make him “smile properly”.
He is such a sweetie!
As to sweeties so is Pam. I think she does great work. If you are interested in having a portrait come to life of your own. check out her website. http://www.cactus9.com/index.htm . Pam will be happy to take your favorite photo of Grandma or kitty and bring into life with her fabulous portrait work. Contact her directly at: Pam D. Cofre pam@cactus9.com Phone: 312-371-8953

Dottie the Jack Russell

This week a new visitor came for a stay. Her name is Dottie, a sweet Jack Russell Terrier. What an adorable little gal Dottie is. She especially loves taking long walks and investigates as she sniffs out the territory. Tiny as she is, Dottie has no problem making herself at home and claiming her territory. She is the matriarch and wants Maggie, the Shihtzu, to know that. But in spite of all that they share a snooze together.
Sammy The Charmer

Last month I had the pleasure of a return visit with Sammy, the Pomeranian. His Mom and Dad had an excursion to Ireland again so Sammy came along while they were gone. Sammy brought along his overnight bag and his special squirrel toy as seen in the photo. Sammy brings along his charm when he visits. Annie, the kitty, breathes a sigh of relief and happily shares he space with him (except when he mistakes her cat post for an outside post!)
