Today I got to meet my newest feline friend, Barnaby. His Mom, Katie, said he is one lazy, fat cat. Well, I would prefer to say he is a sweet, pleasingly plump fellow! We got to hang out some today and I brought him my favorite kitty treat. Katie says he hates everything but I found the secret weapon - - - Liv A Littles freeze dired chicken! I haven't found a cat yet that does not think these treats aren't the cat's meow! Barnaby was no exception! He scarfed these up like candy!
Granted, this special treat does not come cheap! But it is a good high quality food for you cat. What better than pure protein from poultry? No wheat, fillers or grain, just plain old meat! It is no wonder cats don't want the average treat! When in the world did you see a cat lunging for a stalk of wheat in the field? Kitty wants to eat the mouse (meat protein) not some dry old wheat plant (i.e. average dry cat food/treat). Treat? Wheat is a treat!?! NOT!!! Barnaby was no exception. He went right for the good stuff!
Where do you find Liv A Littles? I buy mine at Whole Foods. You will also find it at Wild Oats in Evanston and many other natural food stores. Average cost is $8.99 and you need to refrigerate it after it is opened. My kitties stare at the fridge door any time I open it since they now know this is where the good stuff is kept! Give it a try, you and kitty will be glad you did! And if your kitty really does not like them, give me a call! My cats will happily take any leftovers!!!

And I noticed that Barnaby's hair looked particularly shiny when I got home. It must have been the cat treats! And all the love from the nanny :)

Hi Katie!
Thanks for the kind words! Truth is, Barnaby is such a loveable cat, who could resist?
Best wishes,
Maria
